Loose Head: Alan Bell (Chair)
Alan is a well known face in East Lothian Rugby circles and was Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at the end of 2018 and has been very fortunate in receiving a Stem Cell Transplant in May 2019. As a result of his experience and new awareness he wanted to share this experience to help others.
Hooker: Gareth Glynn (Vice Chair)
Gareth followed his dad’s passion for rugby and together they were very much part of the Rugby Club community on and off the park. Gareth has always strived to find his own way to give back, something to help others .It was this goal which saw him successfully donate his stem cells in 2018, cancelling his honeymoon to do so, which resulted in the saving of another life.
Tight Head: Keith Wallace (Secretary)
Keith Wallace has been playing rugby for more than fifty years, has played senior rugby in six decades, and is probably the oldest Scotsman to score a try at Twickenham (Aged 46). He has served on the boards of a number of companies and having been an employer of large teams knows how hard it is to support those going through traumatic experiences. Here he found buddying a way to help, and having had family, friends and colleagues with blood cancers (including one who on recovery acted as a buddy and then served on the boards of a number of blood cancer charities) he is delighted to bring his business, governance and networking skills to the table
